Month Kit Layouts

I am sharing two layouts that I created using the Hello Santa kit from Treasured Memories. I have a love hate relationship with creating with these kits. Because I am creating for the store display I am only able to use, with the exception of cardstock, the product from the kit. I have a love hate relationship with this. On one hand I love that I have to use what's available, there is no thinking. Then on the other hand I create a page and think "such & such would be perfect here" but I am not able to use it.When you purchase a kit it's different, you get to use all this coordinated product and add in little perfect tidbits. Win Win.

Hello Santa: December Month Kit at Treasured Memories

I coordinated & assembled the December month kit for Treasured Memories, I also designed the layouts that go along with the kit. To see the kit contents you can pop on over to this post. 

These are two of the layouts that I created, I am loving the reindeer I cut out for the first layout.

Aside from the layouts-  I just can not get over how fast this sweet girl is growing. Her first picture with Santa which she slept right through and the photo from last year.

I love square photos, LOVE them. I have mine printed at London Drugs and it makes me even happier that not only do they print 4x4 but 5x5, 6x6 & 8x8 also! I have my 12x12's printed at Costco- for $5! London Drugs is a higher price tag than other photo labs but the quality is generally quite good and for now no one else prints 4x4's (local, that I have easy access to). I try to print only my favourites and then cut down 4x6's for the rest. For this layout I started with a 4x4 photo and then cut down my papers to the same. I created an 8x8 square and then added the photos, and embellishments. The design is simple and minimal but I think it looks great and is something anyone can do. I like that a lot!

As I try to get back into the swing of things around here and get organised for up coming classes and projects I will try my very best to keep up with the blog and keep the content interesting instead of just filling in days with what ever comes to me that morning. I have layouts to share so I will be keeping Layout Love Tuesday to hopefully inspire you to create something yourself.

Layout Love Tuesday... It's back

I put together the kit and the pages for the September month kit at Treasured Memories. The kit is called Gold & Co and it is was fabulous! It sold out so fast and I feel bummed for those of you that missed it. Here is one of the layouts that I created using the product. This picture of those two girls at Calaway Park makes me so happy. Seriously- when was the last time we all smiled like that!

Layout for Canadian Scrapbooker

I am super excited to be a part of the fall issue of Canadian Scrapbooker. I was given a 6x6 stamp from Docrafts and asked to create with it for the 1 stamp 4 stampers article. I am published on page 70... if you want to check it out in person.

This is the layout that I created with it. I absolutely love how it turned out. Thank you to Connie for asking me to be a part of this.

Sorry about the photo quality, this was my third attempt and I finally said- good enough. This photo is of my Mom & Anna from Mother's Day this year, it's rare to get a really great photo of these two & I love this one so much.

I cut out "simply adore you" with my Silhouette and then put it back into the negative space once I removed all the extra bits. I then added a coloured paper to the background to make it pop.

Our vacation last summer was to Osoyoos, British Columbia. Wine vineyard heaven. The weather was amazing, the views were amazing, the tours were amazing, it was amazing. This is one of my favourite pictures from then, it wakes up the memory of sitting on this amazing patio, overlooking the vineyard, the lake and the mountains, sun on face, drinking an ice cold, delicious white wine. Sigh. Osoyoos, I miss you.
