It's only August, the weather is hot, the sun is delicious and before I know it Christmas product starts arriving in the store. For me that means one thing... get my butt in gear for creating holiday classes. It means sitting outside in the sun dreaming of my holiday and sketching card designs. 

I have my first Christmas class of 2016 coming up at Treasured Memories and I'm excited to get people started on their holiday creating. You can follow the link above to sign up for a class spot of for a take home kit.

Card Class: Story Book Celebrations

This is my latest card class for Treasured Memories using Kaiser Craft's Story Book collection. I love the colors, the pops of gold and the vintage feel of these papers. The cards are perfect for female and male recipients. 

Class is Tuesday, April 26 at 6pm but there will also be class kits available to purchase. These kits come complete with all the product, photos and instructions. For all the class details you can pop on over to here.

Winter Wishes: new card class & kit

Join me next Thursday, November 26 for this card class featuring the Whiteout collection from Bo Bunny. These papers are beautiful and the first collection from Bo Bunny that has glitter- yes!!! I created these cards without sentiments as they are perfect for multiple occasions, from the holidays to birthdays. Sentiments can simply be added to the inside to complete your cards. This class is also offered as a take home kit complete with product, instructions and photos.

Halloween Card Class... It's Spooktacular!

Spooktacular! I love it! It's hilarious! It gets to the core of how I feel about Halloween- I am a little crazy about it. I went to Party City today and they were putting out all their Halloween stock- I actually felt my pulse quicken. I think I'll go back Friday to check it all out, until then I will share my Halloween Card class with you. I have never done Halloween cards before and I am not sure why! I love them!

Family Story: a new class at Treasured Memories

This is a new style of mini book for me. First it's not vertical & second I have never done a book this size. The finished size is 6x12 and it is a gatefold finish. I have it close with magnets and the belt buckle acts as a handle. I wanted to do something new, something to get my creative juices flowing and move in a new direction. I am so happy with how it turned out and it also doesn't hurt that these papers from Simple Stories are gorgeous!

This book is perfect for family photos from now or those treasured heritage photos we collect from years gone by. I have only enough product for 11 kits whether they be in class or purchased to create at home. I am teaching this at Treasured Memories on Saturday, September 12 from 10am-1pm. I have been busy designing and creating. First up is my newest card class for Treasured Memories. I am IN LOVE with these papers from Jen Hadfield's Cottage Living collection. Second, I have created a new Disney inspired mini book (you can see my first one here) using the Say Cheese 2 collection from Simple Stories. These papers are amazing, the pops of gold foil are the perfect addition to their collection.

Back at it! A New Card Class

I am excited to share with you my first card class in 4 months. I struggled with whether or not I would come back to teaching. I couldn't quite put my finger on my feelings but I just let myself have those feeling and not worry about it too much. The new My Mind's Eye paper lines came into the store and I knew I wanted to create with it... so here we are. Inspired by the gold foil I created these 6 cards and will be teaching it on Saturday, March 21. You can head on over to the Treasured Memories blog to see the details. 

Christmas Mini Book Workshop

I am teaching my yearly Christmas Mini Book workshop this Saturday, November 29 from 10:00am - 2:30pm at Treasured Memories. I think this might be my favorite one yet. It was a process getting it created this year and I really had to dig for the creativity but it came out wonderfully. Painting Class = Happy Heart

This past Sunday I took my first painting class and the first class since I attended CHA (the Craft & Hobby show in California) in 2010. My heart was so happy! It was such a nice change to be the student and not the teacher. Pop on over here see the class post from Treasured Memories. Linda was great and so inspiring, every time she showed us a new technique I felt like I was having an "ah ha" moment and then thinking "why didn't I think of that". Thank you to Linda and to all the other ladies whom offered up plenty of support and praise. I will be back.
