Kid Art- body tracing

Any day that Anna gets to make art and do crafts is a good day! This activity was simple enough for me but got Anna very excited and kept her busy for close to an hour (insert fist pump here). I traced her onto paper (roll from Ikea), drew in the lines for cloths and she decorated it. She even ended up tracing her baby so that the two of them could hold hands. I hung it up in the hallway and it will stay there until she makes something to take it's place. Kid art is the best!

Rock Painting Party

I wish I could capture Anna's "Wow, we get to do that!" excited face. It is truly a wonderful thing. I got that face when I suggested we paint the rocks we collected from Gramma & Papa's. She ran inside, spun in a circle looking to see if I was close behind her, she ran into my office and started rummaging for the paints. She kept reminding me to not forget the brushes. Her enthusiasm is beautiful!

This was a perfect activity for us both. We both painted and we both had fun!
The best part? Anyone can do this. You need rocks, paint, brushes and Sharpies if you want designs on them after they dry. Anna's personal favourite-  the Ladybug rocks.

We put them throughout the yard and they make me so happy!!!
