Happy Mail

Create this card for any occasion simply by choosing papers that work for you. Be it Christmas like this one or for your dear friends birthday this design is easy to create and perfect for whichever.
Happy Creating!

-        - Cardstock: 6x10, fold
- Top pattern paper: 2 ¼ x 4 ¾, do not add to cardstock yet
- Bottom pattern paper: 3 ¾ x 4 ¾, do not add to cardstock yet
- Using these 2 pattern papers: flip them over and adhere the two pieces together with scotch tape to create a whole background that measures 4 ¾ x 5 ¾, do not add to cardstock yet
- Cardstock Strip: ½ x 4 ¾, add over the seam of your two papers (on the front)
- Ribbon: 5 ½, add across card and adhere the ends to the backside with scotch tape
- Flower: I have removed the center of my flower as I did not like it. I then added pearls to the centre instead
- Add flower
- Add Branches, tucking just under flower: these can be die cuts or whatever you have. A flourish would also look nice here.
- You can now add this all to your cardstock to finish off your card

Playing With Watercolours

I have been seeing inspiration all over Pinterest using watercolours so I decided to dig mine out from the depths of my closet. I set the table up for Anna & I and we played for three days whenever we had some time. It was so FUN! No rules or expectations, just playing and you do know what happened? We created some really great pieces. I turned my painted backgrounds into pops of inspiration, hung some up and am giving some away. Who doesn't love a little inspiration!

layout inspiration

I need to talk about how much I love the new product lines from Fancy Pants- they are amazing! I wanted everything and I usually don't feel that way about a whole line never mind a whole product release! Here are a couple more layouts I made for Treasured Memories using the Fancy Pants product.

This photo does not to this layout any justice... still practising how to get my pictures "just right"... I think I may always be in practice mode.

Layout Inspiration

I finally managed to get rid of my cold after a week & now I am wildly behind in every aspect of my life. I wish I had something exciting to write about or show you but I'm lacking in that department.  I will share these layouts and hopefully be back next week with layouts, project life, a delicious falafel recipe and my March goals.
Happy Wednesday Friends!

The Silhouette stole the show on this layout- how great is that title!
The picture is from one of our many dance parties in the kitchen.
Anna loves to let loose!

Layout Inspiration

New product has been arriving at Treasured Memories and I am loving it! I am also loving that it is my job to take that product home and create layouts to display in the store. The first two layouts are using new papers from Glitz Design and the last is using papers from Teresa Collins' new collection. Right now I am all about printing my pictures in 4x4, splatters from my Heidi Swapp colour shine and my Silhouette. I don't do much journalling but I will make notes on the back of my layout from time to time if there are details I just don't want to forget.

"so grateful for you" is cut using the Silhouette Cameo

"I heart you" is cut using the Silhouette Cameo, wood veneer chevron is from Studio Calico.

Wood veneers are from Studio Calico and Freckled Fawn.

Inspiration Kit: Part 2

This is more of the work I created from my inspiration kit from Treasured Memories. In the end I had 3 layouts, 1 card and a mini book. Not too shabby.

I love a mini book!
I had a bunch of leftover 4x4's from a Christmas project I created and wanted to use them up and knew I wouldn't make layouts of them all so this simple, fabulous mini book came to life.
How to make one for yourself:
- cut up 2 pieces of cardboard/chipboard @ 4.5 x 4.5. These are your front & back cover
- cover both sides of each with cardstock or pattern paper
- cut up a bunch of 4x4's from pattern paper & some cardstock
- using 4x4's (I print mine at London Drugs) mount most pictures back to back
- mount other photos to the 4x4 pattern papers and cardstock you cut. These will be embellished to add a little flair/wow/dimension/pretty to your mini
- punch holes through all pages and covers
- add rings to hold together
Here are my pages for you to use as inspiration!
(Keep in mind that this mini can be created using whatever size of photo you have.)
