Project Life: Week 30

Week 30: July 22-28
I am trying to keep these pages simple so that I can get my photos in and my stories told. I didn't include much as far as embellishments go and I'm okay with that. Something that I am loving are the photo collages that I have been creating in order to maximize the number of photos I can include without adding a great deal of bulk to my book. I am also really enjoying my She Said cards sharing things that Anna has said. It is so great to go back and read, even a month ago. These cards always make me smile.

Week 30: full spread

Page 1
Supplies Used: Midnight Edition Core Kit, Studio Calico: 3x4 "play" card & MON button, washi, and Project Life 4x6 grid card, number stickers: Heidi Swapp, Cavallini alpha stamps

To Note:
- I added journaling to photo in Picasa before printing
- I created a photo collage of the doughnuts to fit them all on a 4x6

To Note:
-I had so many great photos from our first trip to K-Days (like a fair) so I created 2 @ 8x10 photo collages in Picasa, printed them and then added them to 8.5x11 page protectors. I sewed them shut to fit my 8x10's and then trimmed off the excess.

Second Side
To Note:
- I had a bunch of photos from a fun photo booth so I created a 5x7 photo collage in Picasa, printed it and added it to a 5x7 page protector. I then added a wood veneer (play) from Studio Calico.

Page 2
To Note:
- I used 2 @ 4x6 grid pages to add in all my journaling for the week.
- I added writing directly to a couple photos this week. I used a Slick Writer for writing on these photos.

She Said:
- including little things Anna has said that made me smile.

Project Life: Week 29

 Week 29: Full Spread

Supplies Used: Midnight Edition Core Kit, Week 29 circle: download from September Blue, washi tape

To Note: We took a trip to the zoo & had lots of photos to use so I created an 8x10 photo collage. I trimmed down a page protector to fit the collage and then sewed the side shut. I added an adhesive label to the edge and stamped zoo

To Note: On the reverse side of the photo collage I adhered cardstock for my journaling and added in a title. I used a 6x12 page protector (it holds 3 @ 4x6) to hold more zoo photos.
Supplies Used: washi tape, Heidi Swapp alphas

To Note: On the backside of the 6x12 page protector I cut up and added the pamphlets from the zoo. I added in chipboard alphas for embellishment.
Supplies Used: Midnight Edition Core Kit, American Crafts alphas

Project Life: Week 28

I came home from my trip to the mountains inspired to work on Project Life and that is exactly what I did. I have completed 6 weeks of catch up, 16 to go. This year, unlike last, I haven't stressed out about not getting my pages done. However, there were days when I thought... what's the point. Then I watched Anna excitedly flip through a book and knew right then & there that that's the point. I too felt tugs at my heart flipping through the books, seeing all the changes in her, it really is unbelievable. So, I sat down and started organising pictures (probably the part I find most difficult & frustrating), picked them up from the lab and got to work. It was exciting to see a finished spread, it had been so long. I hope to catch up in the next few weeks and then do my best to stay on track but if not... no stress. It'll happen.

Week 28: full spread

Page 1

To note: I printed out two drawings Anna did on the iPad in 5x7 and added them in a page protector
Supplies Used: Midnight Edition Core Kit, 4x6 grid cards, Week 28 circle: download from September Blue, washi tape

Page 2

Supplies Used: Midnight Edition Core Kit, 4x6 grid cards, sticker: American Crafts, washi tape

Extra inserts for Jasper trip.

To note: added in a screen shot from my iPhone of the weather while in Jasper
Supplies Used: Midnight Edition Core Kit, 4x6 grid cards, Today is Good circle is cut from a 3x4 card from the Seafoam Core kit, alphas from Basic Grey for Studio Calico, car sticker: American Crafts, washi tape

To note: I printed the picture of Anna & Jasper Bear at London Drugs at 6x15 and then cut it down to 12" & added in a 6x12 page protector. The edge (with the holes) was too wide so I trimmed it down, wrapped washi tape all the way around and then punched new holes.
Supplies Used: Geo tag: Studio Calico, alphas: American Crafts, favourite sticker: KI for Studio Calico, washi tape

To note: I adhered white card stock to the back of the 6x12 photo to add in my journaling. For the second page I made an 8x10 photo collage in Picasa, had it printed and then added into a 8.5x11 page protector, I trimmed down the page protector and sewed it shut. I repeated the process from before of trimming down the edge with the holes.
Supplies Used: Alphas: Basic Gray for Studio Calico & American Crafts, washi tape

To note: Repeated the steps from above and created a photo collage, printed my Magline Canyon photo @ 6x8, added to a 8.5x11 page protector, trimmed down & sewed shut.
Supplies Used: Alphas: American Crafts, heart: Heidi Swapp, washi tape

Last Page

To note: added in a wood circle to highlight where my bear was as he's hard to see in the trees. I cut down coordinations cardstock to fit my label maker and then created the Goodbye Jasper, I then sanded the cardstock to reveal the core colour.
Supplies Used: Midnight Edition Core kit, wood veneer: Studio Calico, stamp: Elise Blaha Cripe, Goodbye Jasper label: home made, washi tape

project life: week 6

Project Life: Week 6: February 4 - February 10

Page 1
- Keeping up with numbers on pictures & corresponding journaling
- I like this method but am realizing that I am leaving out notes and thoughts that happened but have no pictures to show for it. I am thinking about how I can change this for nest week

Page 2

The things you say.

Missing from this weeks spread is a huge moment that happened this past week. Anna got a room redo and moved into a "Big Girl Bed". I have to get pictures printed and decide how to capture this fun & significant moment in time, I'll share when I get that put together.

Project Life: week 3

Project Life- Week 3: January 13-20
- I decided to make a change to how I scrapbook the week. I was doing Sunday to Saturday which meant that the weekend was not together. I now am working from Monday to Sunday and like this better.
- I kept my numbered journaling from week 2. I like it because I find it easier and less time consuming than what I was doing- adding journaling to each photo.
- I added in an extra insert to hold additional photos.
- Loving Anna's "the things you say" insert.

Project Life- week 2

page 1: I did things a little different this week. I put in 4 @ 3x4 journaling cards and wrote about each picture here. I hen numbered each picture to correspond with the journaling. I like it.
I will likely keep doing that.
Also, I got a new "week in review" stamp from my good friend Lisa & I LOVE it.

Page 2: more of the same.
I blurred out some journaling that didn't need to be shared.

the things you say: week 2 edition.

My new stamp!
Thank you Lisa!
