The past couple of days have been rainy (pouring) and dreary but I'll admit that I like a rainy day. I find I can get way more stuff done when it's rainy and I sleep so much better with the smell and the sound of the rain coming through the window. This past weekend I worked like crazy on a couple DIY projects. I finished the other nightstand and started on our dresser. I also found a dresser / change table to refinished at Value Village. It was exactly what I wanted and for $35! Can't beat it! I also have my eye on a new dining room table but I need to be (try to be) realistic in what I can get done before we move at the end of August. I don't think I've mentioned that here yet, yup, we're moving. To a townhouse with a fenced in back yard, basement and washer & dryer. I haven't lived in a place with it's own washer & dryer since I moved out of my parents when I was 17! I am SO FREAKIN EXCITED!
Anywho, here's a few snapshots of my weekend...
Yes, that's my cat laying on the table playing crib with us. So bad and so cute all at the same time. ha ha ha
Getting a little advice.
We ran out of ice cubes so I suggested putting freezies in the mojitos to make them cold- worked like a charm. Ps. If you're ever looking for a fantastic virgin cocktail- the mojito makes a delicious option.
Went to the Eskimos game on Sunday, we left before they lost their lead to Montreal. Boo.
The current state of our kitchen.... yikes.
That's all for now. I'll be back later with a new class I have at Treasured Memories.
Later Alligators!

That drink trick is genius!
what fun! I have been searching the local thrift and antique stores for a new tv stand...with no luck so far but I'm not giving up anytime soon!
and the freezies in the mojitos!? genius! cause when you're done you're drink, you just throw the freezer back in the freezer and you're got another ice cube in the making!
