Discovering painting again, that's what I've been up to lately. Many years ago, way before I ever scrapbooked I used to paint (before that I was a fantastic cross stitcher). I used to take classes at Michaels, buy how to books, anything I could get my hands on. Somehow I got away from it and it wasn't until recently that I found myself spending hours at my table discovering new techniques and leaving covered in paint. In just over 3 weeks I've managed to finish 5 and start 3 more. Not like I really need another "passion", did I mention that I've also been teaching myself to sew. I bought fabric and I'm going to make a baby quilt for my little one.... I am hell bent on making it so I am pretty confident that it'll happen. I've also been woring in two commisioned scrap jobs which take up the rest of my time. No new classes to report, but I am teaching this Saturday at Treasured Memories, there are still spots (or kits) available, you can get the details here.

Here's a shot of my table today.I headed over to the Quirky Art Cafe for a drop in a couple of Thursdays ago to get involved in a new community. I love that adorable little studio, I was super nervous but Cathy was really nice and made me feel comfortable right from the start. I am suppose to go back this Thursday but have an appointment, insert sad face here. I started this art journal there and have been working on it since. Big fan.
I still do scrapbook, here's my latest layout for Twisted Sketches. My contract is almost up with this wonderful design team and the post for the new design team has gone up- pop on over there and submit for a chance to be on it! It's a 6 month commitment and you get to meet all kinds of fabulous, talented ladies.
I'm a big fan of my latest headband from the Wish List on Whyte Ave.
ps. no birds were harmed in the making of my headband, or that's what I was told so I'm now not going to listen to anything else!
Have a great week!
xoxo
