Me, Carrie & Annie

This weekend was full of sunshine, friends & family. It was wonderful! Annie, one third of a fabulous trio flew into Edmonton on Friday. So much happiness swept over me as I saw her from across a crowd of people. We get to all be together once a year, twice if we're lucky enough. This visit all three of us- Carrie, Annie & myself are all having babies! Carrie was due yesterday but her sweet babe does not want to leave the comfy, cozy home it's had for the last 40 weeks. Annie is due in September and me- November. How amazing will Christmas be this year! So excited already! As I think back to when we first became friends 9 years ago I get a little pinch in the bottom of my heart. Thinking about all we've been through and how our friendship has evolved, and now here we are with big bellies and new stories to tell. Annie left this morning and it's always a sad day, I am however on high alert for a phone call from Carrie. I swear that every time my cell phone beeps or rings I trip over myself trying to get to it just in case it's her and the time has come.
Sunday, Cory & I headed to Stettler for my Dad's birthday. We sat outside soaking up the sun, mom made lots of yummy goodies and then we had cake. Mmmmm cake. How Lovely.
Today I am trying to catch up on unfinished projects and my online class which I kinda neglected last week but after finishing 6 loads of laundry I found myself sleeping on the couch. I'm not a napper, never have been but I guess when you fall asleep sitting up it's not really up to you any more?
