I {heart} Mondays

I started "Inspiration Mondays" at Delite today and needed to share this quote I used with the rest of you. It really hits home for me, for how I have been feeling about my work and the "what the hell am I doing" feeling I have been having. You can read my post here.
Have a great week!

Wanted: Motivation

I'm not entirely sure what the culprit is but I am in need of some mAjoR! motivation! I have random bursts but not like before when I could go all day & all night! This has been the hardest part about working from home, finding inspiration when the tank is clearly empty. Anyone have any tips?
I did manage to create a canvas for Naomi for her birthday... I have to say, I'm a big fan! (quote found here)

I have also finally found my hair for lack of a better phrase. I was done with long hair and then I decided I was done with blonde. When I looked in the mirror after I though to myself "There you are!" Loving it.

Speaking of loving it, here's a one of my finds from Ikea. You would be surprised at how much happiness this adorable little mat brings me every time I open my door.

And last but not least I'll leave you with a little happy. Charles with his tail between his legs sitting at the table upright like a human.

I wanted to take a second to say hi to a very special friend of mine. A few years ago when I worked at Treasured Memories I met a boy named Jimmy and fell in love with this little guy. He is so stinkin' cute and so adorable!!!! He used to tell his mom & dad that I was his girl! We would spend our time in the store looking for stickers of signs, stop signs, yield signs, you name it we looked for it. Today I had the pleasure of seeing him again, along with his wonderful parents! They dropped by Treasured Memories because they heard I was teaching a class this afternoon, it really was wonderful and so special!!! He still asks about me, it warms my heart so much!! I feel so fortunate to have met him & his family! Jimmy is in grade 2 now, still has his stuffed kitty with him and now he loves the LRT and trains in general so this is for you Jimmy.....

HELLO JIMMY!!!!

It was so great to see you!!!! I found a couple pictures on on the internet of the LRT for you! Hope to see you again!

Remembering...

While we take today to remember all of those that gave their lives and those who continue to go to war zones I thought I would share a couple pictures of my very handsome Grandpa Wolansky. He fought in World War II but beyond that I don't know much more. He never spoke of it and my dad says he never did. He died in 2001 and there truly isn't very many days that he doesn't pop into my head. I think about him more now than I did when he was alive or at least that's how it feels. Every now and then I swear that I hear his pacemaker (it ticked like a wrist watch) and every now and then I say hi to him.

Busy, Busy Girl

This working from home has it's benefits but it also comes with a heavy, heavy schedule, especially at this time of year. I have been designing Christmas classes and projects as well as working on custom jobs. Long hours of scrapbooking. I am still trying to find the balance between work, personal and home time. I haven't been doing so great but I am still loving what I do despite the long, long days! The trials of being self employed....
Last week I completed and delivered 52-12x12 layouts for one of my favorite clients, taught 3 classes (one of which gave me a twitch), created 3 demos for Treasured Memories, tried to get a wedding album done, planned projects for the 12 days of Christmas at Delite Designs & made kits for a custom order at Delite. All this while fighting off the flu that Cory had been trying so hard not to get! Sigh. I treated myself to a trip to Ikea on Sunday and Yam Fries from Boston Pizza, a wonderful and well deserved little break. I'll share my fabulous finds in my next post.

Here are the next 3 classes that I will be teaching / selling kits for at Treasured Memories.
Check them out over at Delite Designs.

Next on my work to do this: do my Riff Raff layouts, create a mini album for Delite Designs, write instructions & kit all the above classes, create another card kit, finish off a wedding album...... deep breath. I'll start there becuase the list actually keeps going!
Check out Riff Raff's November release. They did the months of the year, sold seperatly or as the full year- so great!
I really need to go to bed. Have a great week Friends!

Hello November

I needed a break so I thought I'd share a few things that make me happy...

This drink! It's that time of year again!!! The Gingerbread latte from Starbucks! Yumm! Just the sight of these cups makes me happy!

This cat. He drives me up the wall most days but he is so stinkin' cute it's ridiculous! I wish I was small enough to sleep in the sock basket... so jealous!

This girl! Naomi celebrated her birthday yesterday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL!!!! Love you!

Back to work friends! When I finally have some time I'll share all my projects!
