Here's a few pictures from dinner last night. I love Halloween and I had so much fun getting our apartment ready for last night. Cory bought me dry ice and I ran around like a crazy person showing everyone my fog, it was super exciting, that stuff is so freakin' cool! I made all sorts of goodies, popcorn balls, truffles, spider web cupcakes, bug ice cubes for the punch, poison labels for all my bottles, personalized treat bags! SO FUN! I am however three days behind in work so I will be working all weekend to make up for it. Totally worth it!

Loving the dry ice!

The goodie bags and my spider carving.

Cory's fabulous witch carving.
I bought this mask because it had fabulous peacock feathers... I really wasn't anything.

A few of my favorite people. Lisa, always the clever one was Hickory Dickory Dock! Kara was an adorable cowgirl and my girlfriend Sarah dressed up as my other girlfriend- the beautiful Naomi! Did she ever hit that nail on the head! I would never know them apart! LOL! Thank you to all you girls, Chantal & KC as well! I had such a great night and so nice to all get together. A super huge thank you to my wonderful husband- you're so bloody awesome and I am so grateful for you and all your help with everything to get ready for last night!

I've been busy...

Hair- Take #2
We got it right this time! This is exactly what I wanted! While I liked my hair from 3 weeks ago something about it just wasn't right. It just wasn't short enough. I guess to go this short I needed to do it in stages so as not to initiate a nervous break down. Wow! Is it short. I walk by the mirror and don't recognize myself. Jillian said I would feel unsure for a couple days but then I would be like "Yeah, I fricken love my hair". She's so cute! Me being "unsure" about my hair. This picture is for you Jillian! haha!

My wonderful hubby helping me make chocolate spider webs for Halloween cupcakes.

I spent Saturday evening at Treasured Memories with some of my favorite ladies. I made this little 5x7 canvas under the encouraging eyes of the wonderful Lisa and the very prompting words of the lovely Kara- "Just go for it, don't be afraid". I love how it turned out!
This amazingly fabulous canvas was a birthday gift from Lisa! My mouth fell open it's so amazing! She is so freakin' talented!!! I am so fortunate to have such wonderful friends! Thank you so much Lisa!

Friday was my mom's birthday and we drove to Stettler to have a Halloween themed fondue party for her! So fun and so so yummy. We ate till we were bursting but I think Cory and my brother needed to have their stomachs pumped they ate so much food!

Mom & her cupcake tower.

Her very fabulous spooky jewelry that I made her wear because she was the birthday girl.

The spooky table with all the decorations I packed from Edmonton.

It's been go go go around here and that's exactly what I need to do as I am having some of my scrapbooking ladies over tonight for dinner and this place needs a good clean! See you later alligators!

Leah

Sunday was my girlfriend's baby shower for Leah! She is so stinkin' great I just wanna squeeze her! Here's the name garland I made for her nursery. The gorgeous Miss Leah

This is one of the card classes that I'll be doing at Treasured Memories. Let me tell you friends- I really struggled with these. I don't step outside of my little scrapbooking world very often and when I do, it's totally exhausting. I love Tim Holtz and everything he makes so I wanted to create cards using his techniques. To prepare I watched so many You Tube videos of his it's not even funny.... or totally nerdy. Form your own opinions. The class runs Nov. 3 in the am and Nov. 5 in the evening, cost of the class is $20. Come hang out.

A birthday shout out to KC today- Happy Birthday Girl!!!!

A much needed change...

Say Hello!!!!!

My horoscope said that a huge weight would be lifted off my shoulders today. Yes it was! Let me tell you about Jillian... she is the most wonderful girl that I got to be friends with because of hair. She is the wonder behind my uber fabulous new hair. I can not tell you enough how much I love this girl! Her energy is infectious & her laugh contagious!!
This weekend I am adding her to my "what to be thankful for" list!
Happy Thanksgiving Friends!

In the Spirit

Let me tell you what I love! I LoVe Halloween! I love it!

As I dig out the decorations for my house I have decided that my blog needed a little decorating of it's own. Loving the new Halloween House of 3 blog couture! So much fun!
And for all you computer "tools" as I so fondly call myself, this is super easy to get. The tutorials on their website are so user friendly.

I am currently working on my October Riff Raff pages and I am so stoked about this month's shapes! I don't get this excited very often (okay... maybe that's a lie) but they are seriously wicked & they have defiantly gotten me in the spirit of Halloween.

31

Whoa! Is that real? I was having a bit of a "uneasy" feeling about turning 31. I didn't feel like that when I turned 30, but the crazy voices in my head were chanting... you're on your way to 40. I decided that I was going crazy and told those voices to FO so that I could enjoy my birthday and all the celebrations and friends that I was lucky enough to be with. Sometimes when we say things out loud to our subconscious it feels oh so good!!! Try it!
I had the most wonderful week and thanks to Cory a super fabulous weekend! We went to Jacks Grill on Friday, the environment was a touch too hautey tautey for me but the food was unbelievable!

Here's the most delicious birthday dessert I have ever eaten! HEAVEN in chocolate form. Picture is from Cory's cell phone so not very good quality.

My birthday haul! Hello!!! check out my new killer wallet! It rocks!

And then there was this little treat that left me crying. Cory made me (you heard that right) this sign for my scraproom. He bought wood, letters & stain and made me this on his lunch breaks and after work. This man even went to flyerland and printed off the Michaels coupon for when he went to the store. Are you kidding me? I was speechless, and then I started crying. I truly think I am one of the luckiest girls in the world. We may not be rich, we may not own our own home or have the luxury of traveling around the world but I have him and I don't need anything else. Well maybe a baby.............
I see great things for the next year, for all the 365 days of my 31st year!
