Simple Pleasures
Two things that totally made my day!
Charlie completed passed out, hanging off the bed. I stood in the doorway and giggled at him forever!
When One Door Closes, Another One Opens.
Today is day one of working for me... so far so good. I really like my new boss! She rocks. Ha Ha. I'm a total nerd! Friday marked the end of my days at Creative Door. It was a bitter sweet departure. The girls bought me lunch, then there was balloons, cake, speeches, tears, cherry whiskey shooters (Hello!!! Drinks @ work!) and presents. I was super spoiled! I'll take a sec to tell you about the cake Dar had made for me, it was a scrapbook! The top of the cake opened up like a book and the design was from my Delite Designs blog header. So wicked awesome- I cried!

A Fresh Coat of Paint
Cory & I went back to work on Monday after 2 weeks off and let me tell you it was a heck of a long week! I thanked my lucky stars that I only have 2 weeks left! As nervous as I am to leave I couldn't stay there any longer regardless. So much bitterness, negative energy and petty issues- I was exhausted by Tuesday afternoon! Cory assures me that he can turn a blind eye to all that and not let it affect him. I sure hope he's being honest with me and not just looking out for my best interests.
This past weekend we went to a family BBQ for my Wolansky side. I don't have any pictures to share but it was so great and we both had such a wonderful time. My uncle & aunt live 45 minutes outside of Edmonton in this little secluded piece of heaven. That's how I would describe it. Gorgeous surroundings, adorable log house, the cutest guest cabin (that the original owners lived in while they built the main house), little bridges to nowhere and raspberry bushes galore. We hiked around picking berries, sat in the sun and had margaritas, ate some fabulous foods and got to visit with family that I almost never get to see. It was wonderful!
Cory & I went to see Kings of Leon on Wednesday- so fabulous!!! I am such a huge fan of these guys. I saw an interview on The Hour a few weeks ago and it made me love them even more! Just a group guys who can't believe they're good enough. Well let me tell you- these guys aren't just good enough they freakin' rock!
Here is our living room, we finally finished painting last weekend. It's so cozy in there now, all I want to do is cuddle under a quilt and fall asleep.

The past month or so in pictures...
I realize I say this almost every post but where does all the time go? Here's a little sneak at my life over the last little while. We've been on holidays for the past week and a half and i has been glorious. Lots of relaxing, BBQ's, reading, movies, going for runs and the occasional bike ride (my seat is so not comfortable) and did I mention MoJitOs! Mmmm.
Cory was in another MMA tournament at the beginning of July and took first place in both his divisions. He was so stoked- it was awesome! Yeah Cory!
Camping Trip
We started off our holiday by camping in Banff for 3 days then it was off to Waterton.
I was dancing at our site and that is quite the pose I was striking. he he

Yup, that's me in the canoe drinking a coffee while Cory paddles. LOL!

We spent the day hanging out at Johnson Lake, suntanning, reading & I went swimming. I hadn't been swimming in a lake in ForEvEr! It was wonderful!

Waterton was next on our trip. One word. Gorgeous! We had planned on going camping but fate would have it another way. When we got there on Wednesday every campground was full! On a Wednesday! So we rented a hotel- can't lie, I was not upset! King size bed and a shower that you don't have to wear your flip flops in... heaven! Such a beautiful place with an ice cream shop on every corner... yummers! A wonderful place to relax and enjoy your surroundings! Peace & quiet!
Baby fawns were everywhere!! So awesome!
We always collect heart shaped rocks on our journeys. A little tradition we got from my wonderful girl Annie! This one was a bit too big to put in my purse. (it's also "illegal" in a Park... I'm using that word loosely)

We shortened our stay in Waterton and headed home for another week off to do absolutely nothing!!! I shouldn't say that- laying in the sun and having mojitos is alot of work.
