I jacked a few layouts this weekend as I was hard up for ideas. Regardless of where I got the ideas I love the first two a whole bunch!!!

Welcome Summer

Yesterday was the first full day of summer and it was beautiful here! I was suppose to scrapbook with my fabulous girl Veronica but TM was having a kids birthday party and 2 classes so we decided to reschedule. Cory and I hit up the farmers market, Whyte Ave then had lunch & dinner on patios so we could soak up as much sunshine as possible.... not to mention margaritas!

After dinner we went for a walk to this foot bridge across the river by our place, it is beautiful down there!A hot patio, a few cocktails and good company, xoxo.

It's of course raining here now because heaven forbid we have two nice days in a row.... shrug.

Do you ever think that "things" just sneak up on you? You think to yourself: "I have plenty of time to get that done..." Then before you know it times up and you're scrambling to get things done. I talked to my mom the other day about my wedding dress which lead to discussions of time and then I realized it's summer, the summer always goes by way too fast, then it's September and September will go by uber fast and then before you know it it will be the 27th and then.......... *wedding tune playing in my head*........... aughhhhhhhhhh! Deep breath! 14 weeks friends, 14 weeks, that is not alot of time! So much to do, now I have everything on a LARGE to do list but I need to actually do my to do's! Deep breath! 14 weeks- focus Nadine! Focus!

My BPS classes

I took 2 classes @ Big Picture Scrapbooking: Choosing Joy & Becoming More. These classes were wonderful, they make you open up (to yourself) and think about your actions, you are choosing the life that you are leading. They helped me work out things that had been weighing on my shoulders and they were incredibly motivating. Both classes were taught by Kolette Hall with appearances by her husband Jason- one of the most inspiring people I have ever heard from! If they run these again I highly recommend both!

We had to write a list of 100 things we were grateful for... it was hard, try it, you'll be surprised!

I had to create a layout showing the things that are of great value to me.

A layout showing my safe place.I had to make a list of my favorite things and create a layout of one of them using a picture as my page.I had to write my goals for: 1 day, week, month, year, 5 years & 10 years and this the layout that followed my list.

Who knew he was a chef?

I was locked out of the kitchen last night and this is what happened in there. Cory made me this FABULOUS dinner, lucky girl! He's quite the chef, I might put him to work more often now.



The starter- Bruschetta with feta & cream cheese spread... HELLO!!!! It was ridiculous!The Entree- Turkey kabobs with lime juice marinade.
The Dessert- Strawberry Shortcake......... yummy!

... more after, that shelf was in the living room and we took the closet door off and hung a curtain- I love it...and here is the wall with the shelf, this chair was in our living room where the computer is now. We have used this chair more in the last two days than we have the whole time it was here.

Good-Bye General Hank

General Hank died today, he was our one flipper goldfish who swam sideways. He was always fighting to go straight and then would realize if held still he would just float that way..... cuz goldfish are much smarter than we think.

My Surprise

I am an incredibly girl & I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends! Veronica, Jayme, Lisa, Naomi and Kara- Thank you!!! These wonderful women had a surprise wedding shower for me tonight, never before have I been so surprised. I had no idea, I was shaking and it felt surreal! I am still beaming from all the love I got tonight! There was great friends, many laughs, delicious food, chocolate cake, presents (delightful presents), and belly dancing. It was GREAT! Thank you again- I love you girls! I will post more pics later.... I have a fashion show to put on :-)

Wanted

One sewing machine.........

I am on the look out for a sewing machine. I am going to start to go to garage sales and look but thought I'd put it out there that I am looking. I just want your basic machine, nothing fancy. If you see one or see a great deal let me know! I would have failed sewing in Home Economics back in school if it hadn't been for my mom "resewing" all my projects. Thanks Mom! I have so many ideas floating around in my head that I decided it was time I try this out again.

Oh, and you must must check out this house.... I was drooling this morning!

I spend the afternoon with Naomi deciding on the wording for my wedding invitations and printing out a demo. Let me tell you that these invitations Freakin' ROCK! They are beautiful and Naomi is a genius. While I'm sure she's laughing as she reads that I really mean it. Thank you so much for your help! You are fabulous and I love you!
