My trip to Edson

I spent the weekend in Edson with Cory and his hockey team. He started coaching a woman's hockey team (the Pylons) this year and loves it. I met these girls and understand why- they're fabulous! They tried their hardest to get me to play... I'm not much for sports that require you to air our your equipment after. Cory and I were talking about how I don't play sports and he let me know that scrapbooking should be considered a sport- "do you see how much equipment you have?" Ha ha- I love him! I have a crazy busy week planned as I am planning a birthday party for my wonderful friend Veronica on saturday- whose actual birthday is tomorrow & my brother's wife Lyndsey is staying with us for 2 months while she goes to Nait and I need to clean and get her room ready. I will be without my scrap room for these 2 months... I'll be okay!

Happy Family Day

I love a long weekend. Friday, Cory and I watched a very scary movie- 30 Days of Night- I actually watched most of it from behind a book. The whole movie took place at night, in the dead of winter and was about vampires- a creepy combo! Saturday my brother and his wife Lyndsey came up from Stettler to see where we live because Lyndsey will be living with us for 2 months while she goes to Nait. We basically sat around all day and then were bored to tears after they left so Cory suggested we go bowling. I was 'meh' about the idea but it turned out to be great fun, I am not a very good bowler. We went to the Olive garden for some dinner and then after a bottle of wine I decided it was time to go sledding. The only hiccup is... we don't own sleds so I became creative and tried to use rubbermaid lids- "they're flat why wouldn't they slide?" Good question but they don't! I was fairly disappointed, probably best anyways as I would have surely hurt myself! Monday I packed up my scrapping stuff and headed to TM. Here's the pages I finished. I had a good weekend and am looking forward to a short week.
XOXO

Valentine's Project

Here's my Valentine's mini I made for Cory. Ali Edwards had the page templates on her blog a few weeks ago and the directions to make this book. I made a different cover because she sewed hers and I am no seamstress!

I hope everyone has a fabulous long weekend.

Riff Raff ROCKS!!!!!

A very dear friend of mine has started a company called Riff Raff Gems, what I think will be a HUGE success! Below is an example of their first product to hit the most wicked scrapin' store in the city of Edmonton! Treasured Memories (check it out on my sidebar). This man and woman chipboard are so freakin' FAB!!! Love em! Onto more exciting news, that very dear friend of mine, Miss Kara, asked me to be on her design team to promote the product!! Eeeeeeeeeeee! Below is a jack I did of Veronica's layout, I have used the girl figure which I think looks fabulous- thanks V and thanks Kara! Yup that's Ali Edwards... I adore her!
Goodluck to Kara and Ben with their launch of Riff Raff! They have had a ton of super exciting feedback and I wish the world for them. They will soon have a blog up and running promoting the product where you will also be able to see my work and the work of a few other talented ladies!
Keep your eyes peeled as I heard a rumor that Treasured Memories should see 20 new designs at the beginning of March!

A little peice of advice...

I got some bad news in the mail yesterday, something that leaves me feeling confused and sad. I won't go into details but I will say that it makes me think how vulnerable we all are. So as you read this, look at your life and don't take anything for granted. xoxo

I love my Hannah!

I didn't get much done scrapbook wise- one thing led to another and here I am getting ready for bed. I did however fix the leaky sink, caulk the bathtub, and fix the carpet in our bedroom!!! Here's my layout of Hannah- she feels it's necessary to be near me at all times! xoxo

I {heart} my Veronica Saturdays

I spent another lovely Saturday with Veronica, Lisa and Juli. Despite my crabby mood I had a great time and got another 5 layouts done- 8.5 x 11 is the way to go! Today I have the apartment to myself from 9:30am until 8pm... whoo hoo. Don't get me wrong, I love Cory but sometimes it's nice to be alone. I have cleaned the whole place, eaten lunch, put dinner in the slow cooker made a pot of coffee and plan on scrapping for the rest of the day. Have a great Sunday friends!

This layout deserves a post all on it's own

This layout get it's own post, not because I think it's uber fabulous (which I do) but because of who it represents! Cory has, in the last few years changed his life mentally, emotionally and physically. He has lost nearly 100 pounds- he became a new person! If you didn't know it was him you wouldn't recognize the photo! He looks miserable then and when I look at pictures of him now he is happy- truely happy! I am so proud of you Cory! You are strong, healthy and incredibly sexy!!! I admire your commitment, your sacrifices and your determination! I love you like crazy!!
XOXO

A busy little scrapbooker!!!

I spent the day at TM ( http://www.treasuredmemories.typepad.com) with Veronica. I was fairly productive, I made 5 layouts today and 2 on Thursday. Here are some of the pages I finished!

Jules Rules

Huge thanks to Juli who created the wicked awesome header for my blog! I love it... and as you can see Juli- I figured out how to get in onto the blog!
